Rust admin tool

Rust admin tool and web RCON panel

Run your Rust server from the browser. A console that stays connected, bans across all your servers, F7 reports with context, alt and VPN checks, automation and staff logins that never see your RCON password.

Connect your server

Free while we're in beta. Nothing to install on the server, and it runs next to the RCON tools you already use.

What you get for Rust

A web RCON console that stays connected

GameSentry holds the RCON connection day and night and keeps the log, so chat, kills, joins and reports are recorded even when nobody has the panel open. It reconnects on its own after a restart, and every command sent from the panel goes into the audit log.

F7 player reports for server owners

Every F7 report filed in game lands in one list with the reporter, the reported player, the type and the message. Each report keeps a snapshot of the moment: whether the two were teammates, kills between them in the 15 minutes before, what they wrote in chat and where they stood. It works over RCON, no plugin needed.

Detect alt accounts and VPN players

Each player gets one profile across your servers with names, sessions, Steam and VAC details and a threat level. Accounts that shared an address are linked as possible alts, and VPN detection checks connecting players and can remove risky connections. These are signals to review, not proof.

VPN detection is not on the Free plan. During the beta it comes with Beta Tester access, which is free.

Automation rules with Discord alerts

Rules react to joins, chat, kills, reports and more, check conditions like country, VPN, playtime or a new account, then kick, ban, send a message, run a command or post to Discord. Start from about 95 ready made rules or write your own, and schedule commands for restarts and announcements.

The Free plan includes three rules.

Staff logs and roles

Staff sign in with their own Steam accounts, get a role and only the servers you choose, and never see the RCON password. Bans, commands, member changes and setting changes go into the audit log. With the GameSentry plugin, admin commands run in game and noclip are logged too.

Server dashboard and analytics

Players over time, a day by hour heatmap, FPS, entities and memory, wipe history and how many players come back after each wipe. Every night a private report card compares your server with similar servers.

Shared bans and ban sync between servers

Ban a player from one server or from every server in your organization, for a set time or for good. The ban goes on the server's ban list and the player is kicked right away. Share bans with partner communities, and see when someone who joins is banned in other organizations.

Enforce solo, duo and trio group limits

Set a team limit in the server settings. Teams are checked every few minutes over RCON, and a team over the limit fires an automation event, so a rule can warn them, post to Discord or kick. With the GameSentry plugin, players can't join a team that is already full and are told why in chat.

Blocking joins needs the GameSentry plugin with a premium licence.

Live map

See every online player on the map with their team, on the same grid as in game, and kick, ban or teleport from a player's dot. With the GameSentry plugin the map adds world events, heatmaps, tool cupboards and a 3D view of the terrain.

During the beta the live map comes with Beta Tester access.

The GameSentry plugin, if you want more

Everything on this page works over RCON unless it mentions the plugin. The optional plugin goes in the HarmonyMods folder, runs on vanilla servers and next to Oxide or Carbon, and adds raids, map events, team limit enforcement and the in game staff log.

Some plugin features need a premium plugin licence.

How to install the plugin
Getting started

Connect your Rust server in two minutes

You need the server online, its RCON port and its RCON password. Nothing gets installed on the server.

  1. 01

    Sign in with Steam

That creates your organization. There's no separate account or password.

  2. 02

    Add your server

It's probably in our server list already. Pick it and enter the RCON port and password. The RCON port is usually the game port plus one, so 28015 becomes 28016. GameSentry connects once to check, then stays connected.

  3. 03

    Invite your staff

Your moderators log in with their own Steam accounts and only see what you allow.

Questions

Questions Rust admins ask us.

Which port is RCON on a Rust server?

Usually the game port plus one, so a server on 28015 has RCON on 28016. It is set with rcon.port in your startup settings and the password with rcon.password. Make sure the port is open for TCP in your firewall or host panel.

Can I keep using my current RCON tool?

Yes. Rust lets several tools connect over RCON at the same time, so GameSentry can run next to what you use today while you try it.

Do I need the GameSentry plugin?

No. The console, bans, F7 reports, automation, analytics and player positions on the live map all work over RCON. The plugin adds what RCON can't see, like raids, map events and blocking joins to full teams.

Does it work with Oxide and Carbon?

Yes. GameSentry detects which one your server runs, lists the installed plugins, flags the ones with a newer version on uMod, Codefling or Game4Freak, and can reload or unload them over RCON. The GameSentry plugin itself doesn't need either.

How much does it cost?

Nothing during the beta. New organizations start on the Free plan with one server, three staff and three automation rules. If you need more, request Beta Tester access from your organization or on Discord. It's free too, reviewed by hand and lasts six months.
