Report data license

The figures in GameSentry reports are free to use, share and adapt, including commercially, as long as you credit GameSentry.

How we measure

01

The license

Every published report edition and its CSV download are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, redistribute, chart and build on the figures for any purpose.

The one condition is credit: cite GameSentry with the edition you used.

Read the CC BY 4.0 license

02

How to cite

Name GameSentry, the edition's title and its permanent link.

Format
GameSentry, <edition title>, <permalink>
Example
GameSentry, Rust Server Report: Week 42, 2026, https://gamesentry.gg/reports/rust/weekly/2026-w42

Every edition page shows its own citation, ready to copy, next to its CSV download. Published editions never change, so a citation always points to the same numbers.

03

What the CSV holds

One row per figure, with the columns section, group, item, metric and value. The first line is the header. Numbers use a decimal point and at most two decimals, hours are UTC, and weekdays run from 1 (Monday) to 7 (Sunday). A moment, such as a force wipe, has its UTC time in the item column and its Unix time in seconds as the value. In a study, the metric column holds the unit of the value, such as percent, servers, players, days or ratio.

A CSV holds the same aggregates as its page, and nothing more: no server names or IDs, and no group below the minimum sample described in the methodology. How we measure

04

What it does not cover

Server names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners, and the GameSentry name and logo are not licensed for reuse beyond the citation. The license covers report figures, not the rest of the site.
